*Exciting Collaboration Alert*

We are thrilled to share that OCCA KZN and Nyanza Light Minerals recently conducted an inspiring field trip to the Richards Bay Industrial Zone, the future site of the new Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) plant. This groundbreaking project marks the first pigment plant built in 30 years and is set to revolutionize the coatings industry!

During the visit, OCCA KZN members and industry professionals had the unique opportunity to explore the site, learn about Nyanza Minerals’ journey, and witness the TiO2 manufacturing process firsthand. The insights gained and the chance to engage with experts in the field were truly invaluable.

With an estimated project cost of USD 850 million, this state-of-the-art plant is expected to be completed by Q1 2028. This collaboration is a testament to the innovation and progress within our industry, and I am excited to see the positive impact it will have on our future.
